Really Interesting Chapters!

A lot has happened in the last few chapters of The Giver to Jonas and a lot of things are coming as I will predict later but first I want to tell you a little poem I wrote as a summary to what has happened In the last few chapters.

Poem:
" Jonas.....Jonas....Jonas
so lucky you, the receiver of memory
you are very special, you can handle it well
since your not in a spell

You've been given memories
that you could've never imagined
like the feeling of snow
because when you touch it you know

You've seen beautiful colors
that you can barely describe
but also felt pain with the sunburn you gained

You've learned a lot
there is more to come
don't hesitate you'll have to wait"

I founded a quote that was really really interesting and I would like to share it.
"Sunshine, he said aloud, opening his eyes. Good. You did get the word. That makes my job easier. Not so much explaining."
. . .

"You receive well, and learn quickly. I´m very pleased with you. That's enough for today, I think. We´re off to a good start."
This two quotes I founded really interesting because I think that what The Giver is trying to say to Jonas is that he was selected well and he really is the next receiver. In this quotes we can clearly see that Jonas really can see beyond things like the Chief Elder said, because I was really confused with that. I  think that The Giver really liked Jonas and he is exited to keep transmitting hes memories to Jonas.

For some final thought at my blog I said earlier that I had some predictions to make and they are the following. I don't know why but I´ve keep thinking about this prediction where Jonas is really really curious about a memory that The Giver will give him like the release part, and where they take them and what happens to the people that get released. Jonas is going to be so curious that he is going to do that he isn't supposed to and he is going to be released or some consequence is going to happen to hem.

Reading Questions Chapters 5-8

A lot has happen in the previous chapters 5-8 and what has happen has been really interesting. For the first time Jonas started having stirrings while he´s dreaming and now he is starting to take some pills to prevent that. Something big that happen was that all the ceremony´s started including the ceremony of twelve in which Jonas received his assignment. When all other ceremony´s before twelve ended it was the time to the elevens to become twelves. Jonas was very very nervous a bout what he's assignment would be, he didn't know at all what would it be. The chief elder started picking one per one to the elevens to go up to the stage, to get his or her assignment, and to become a twelve. Jonas was number 19 but just when the chief elder was going to said he´s number she didn't, instead she had skipped Jonas and continued with number 20. Jonas was very very embarrassed and he wanted to disappear, he didn't wanted to be there. When all numbers ended the chief elder assigned Jonas he´s assignment. She assigned Jonas to the job of Receiver of Memory and that was the most important job in the community.

A quote that I founded really interesting is the one the chief elder said when she had "assigned" Jonas and it goes like this, "Jonas has not being assigned, she informed the crowd and he´s heart sank. Then she went on Jonas has been selected." This quote really caught my attention because I think that  the chief elder was trying to say was that Jonas is very different from the others and that he´s very special. I cannot describe and I think neither Jonas could describe the feelings that he was having at that moment when the chief elder said the quote that I wrote previously. I really think Jonas is very special, I think the job that they gave him is the most important job in the community and I also think that he is going to do very well on he´s new job .

For my final thoughts I would like to clarify that Jonas is very special, that's why they gave hem that job and I also predict that Jonas is going to do it really well except that I think he's going to do something wrong and that the people that selected him to that assignment will be questioning if they choose wisely. I am very curious about what is going to happen next and I cant wait to read more.

Reading Questions Chapters 1-4

Reading Questions Chapters 1-4

What i´ve read about The Giver until now (last 4 chapters) have been really interesting and I cant wait to read more. In the previous chapters the author Louis Lowry have described pretty well the society in which Jonas lives, a society that is different to the real world. The author describes things like what are some of their traditions or rules etc. Jonas lives on a very strict community in which rules need to be follow. We've seen in how in the ceremony of twelve every kid gets his assignment that they will do until they get old and that means for all of their adults life depending on what the kids have done for their volunteer hours. Jonas is very worried about this ceremony because Jonas has volunteered in many different places to work and he doesn't know in which work will the old people (council) will assign him. Jonas is very worried about It and he´s trying to finds some place in which he likes and can volunteer to be his assignment in the ceremony of twelve but he is very undecided in where does he want to volunteer.

While reading this and as ending chapter four I saw a really interesting quote that caught my attention in chapter four in page 26, the quote said the following, "He remembered when he had become an Eight, as Lily would do shortly, and had been faced with that freedom of choice. The Eights always set out on their first volunteer hour a little nervously, giggling and staying in group of friends." This big quote makes me think about Jonas and his volunteer hours. It made me think that in chapter four Jonas went to the old people center to make some volunteer hours but it made me think that he only wonted there because Asher and Fiona were there just like the narrator describe of what the Eights do, follow their friends. Jonas needs to think really well if he want he´s assignment to be at the old people´s center. He needs to think what is best for him.

The last four chapters have been amazing and I want to read more and more! I´ve read some really good books with my classmates like Ties That Bind Ties That Break but I´m starting to have the impression that this is going to be of the best books I have personally have ever read. For some of my final thoughts I think that "Fiona" is going to be the one that both Asher and Jonas will have a crush on.

The Giver by Lois Lowry

Personally I´m not a really fan of reading but there has been some books that have really caught my attention or mainly like it. I´ve heard a lot about the book The Giver by Lois Lowry and I´m really looking forward to read it. My sister is in 11th grade and she already read this book when she was in 9th, she told me that I will really am going to enjoy this book. I´ve read like two pages of the book, and the back and I´m really starting to get into it and liking it. Its about this boy named Jonas and he lives on a perfect world without problems, war etc. No one has like feelings or emotions. For Jonas things are starting a little when he turned 12. The truth about everything that people had kept a secret had been reveled to him.

When the author dedicates the book he inserted this quote, "For all the children to whom we entrust the most". In this quote what the author is trying to express is maybe that children are the future of everything. They are the ones who will make a change and only them, are the one Lois trusts.

In conclusion I think that I will really enjoy reading this book as well as my classmates and that it may be one of my favorite books. Jonas is going to know the truth about everything and he needs to change it.
